Teen's profane tweet about starting a new job gets her fired before the 1st day
Were you surprised by the reactions to the unwise communications?
Not at all, the reaction is to be expected after the foolish remarks of the teen. I would have immediately fire this teen as well although in a more appropriate manner.
It seems that electronic mistakes are judged much more harshly than real world mistakes. Is that fair?
I think it is fair because we often make mistakes by accident in real life but when we post our mistakes it is deliberate and you cannot delete your mistake, it is always there. In an incident like this it is fair because she clearly revealed her attitude towards this new job and implied a negative approach to her work life. This is defiantly something we can learn from; we must be cautious of what we say on social media for the world to see.
